About the Countdown Timer
Set hours, minutes and seconds, or pick one of the quick presets, and the timer runs in the page with the remaining time shown in the browser tab so you can keep working in another window. A sound plays when it reaches zero.
The second mode counts down to a date and time — an exam, a launch, a birthday or New Year — and keeps updating for as long as the tab is open.
Frequently asked questions
Will it still work if I switch tabs?
Yes. The remaining time is worked out from the clock, not from frame updates, so switching tabs or minimising the window does not slow it down.
Why did no sound play?
Some browsers block audio until you interact with the page. Click anywhere on the page once and it will play.
